Eastleigh Town Council is pleased to announce the start of an exciting new campaign within Eastleigh called the Greening Campaign.
Climate Change is a global problem with the potential to affect every living thing on our planet. Climate Change caused by Greenhouse Gas emissions is impacting our weather patterns, producing extreme weather events more often than we have ever seen. It is a problem that seems so immense that we as individuals can feel powerless against it.
Eastleigh Town Council has signed up to The Greening Campaign, who are working with other communities right across Hampshire. It is a program that is designed to provide guidance on how we tackle the immediate global challenges at community level.
We have invited many different organisations within the Town to our first public meeting and welcome residents from across the town to join us:
Date & Time: 22nd June 2023, 7pm
Location: The Cableworks Building, Tinning Way, Eastleigh, SO50 9QH
At this meeting, we’ll be providing a comprehensive briefing on what the campaign is, what it aims to achieve and how you can get involved. Attending the meeting does not commit you to anything.
ETC Chair, Cllr Gaz Richardson said “I am really excited about the launch of this campaign within Eastleigh. Climate change is a problem that society can’t continue to ignore any longer. Everyone can make a difference by making just a few small changes. The Greening Campaign has been hugely successful across Hampshire and I firmly believe this campaign will help to make a difference to residents across the town. Please come along to our meeting and find out more!”
